Nerang railway station is a railway station on the Gold Coast Line of South East Queensland, Australia. It is part of the Queensland Rail City network.

Location

Nerang station is located in eastern section of the suburb of Nerang, 75.89 km (47.16 mi) south of Brisbane Central by rail. It is in Zone 13 of the TransLink integrated public transport system and is the closest station to Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise and the middle part of the Gold Coast's major population centre. The station is also located 1.9km from Carrara Stadium.

Service

Nerang is served by the Gold Coast Line, an interurban regional rail line running south from Brisbane to Varsity Lakes.

In the northbound (Brisbane-bound) direction, trains make stops at Loganlea and Coopers Plains and run express to the city centre, taking 69 minutes to arrive at Central station at an average of 66.0 km/h (41.0 mph).[1] During weekday peak times, all trains will make all stops to Beenleigh, Then run express to South Bank.[1] Trains heading northbound continue onto the Airport Line, connecting the city to Brisbane Airport.[1]

In the southbound (Varsity Lakes-bound) direction, trains continue to Robina and take six minutes, averaging 94.6 km/h (58.8 mph).[1] They then proceed to Varsity Lakes, where the line terminates.
