This name uses Portuguese naming customs. The first or maternal family name is Santos Simões and the second or paternal family name is Oliveira.
Nelson Filipe Santos Simões Oliveira (born 6 March 1989 in Anadia, Portugal) is a Portuguese professional road racing cyclist for the Lampre-Merida team.[2] In September 2009 he won the silver medal in the under-23 time trial at the UCI Road World Championships.[3] In November 2009, Oliveira signed with Xacobeo-Galicia.
In September 2010 he went again to the World Championship Sub 23, and was 4th, not repeating a podium by just 4 seconds.[4]
Oliveira left RadioShack-Leopard at the end of the 2013 season, and joined Lampre-Merida for the 2014 season.[2]
