Neha Kakkar is an Indian playback-singer, dancer and actor. She came to prominence through the television reality show 'Indian Idol'. She has appeared in other television shows such as "Jo jeeta wohi superstar" (Starplus) along with previous Indian Idols Abhijeet Sawant and Ishmeet, "Comedy Circus" (Sony). She offered playback singing for Sukhwinder Singh's "Meerabai Not Out", Honey Singh's single "SATAN" and a title song for the television series "Naa aana iss des Laado" (Colors). She has received acknowledgements from Shahrukh Khan for her “SHAHRUKH KHAN ANTHEM” on Youtube.

Kakkar was born on 6th June,1988. She began singing as early as when she was 4 years old. She is said to have devoted her childhood to Maata rani singing 'Maata ki bhente' in Delhi.She has a sister Sonu Kakkar who is also a playback-singer.
