National Revolutionary Party

National Revolutionary Party (PNR) is the name that was founded Current Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) in Mexico, which ruled the country since its founding in 1929-2000 and again in 2012. With their appearance, the NRP did bind to virtually all political forces. With this, the stage of the revolutionary leaders came to an end. Foundation

During the presidency of Emilio Portes Gil, was indeed one of the most significant political events: the founding of an official party, the National Revolutionary Party (PNR). On September 1, 1927, Calles read his last presidential report to the Congress, which proclaimed the end of warlordism to give way to the era of the institutions. In the same message stated he would not seek an extension of the mandate, but at the same time, as implied, there would remain a mere spectator of the country's political events. The idea of founding the party obey several reasons. The Steering Committee convened the National Revolutionary Party January 5, 1929 at the great convention that would take place in the city of Querétaro, to discuss the program and statutes of the organization and appoint the presidential candidate.
