Early life
Dahm graduated from Abeka Christian Academy Home School in 2001. His work history includes engineering technician, dean of school and producer. He is currently the owner of a cleaning company.[1]
Political career
Despite coming in narrowly under the top candidate in the Republican Party primary, Dahm won the runoff election and did not face a general election.[2] He assumed office in November 2012.
Dahm introduced numerous gun bills for the 2013 legislative session, including a bill penalizing the enforcement of federal government gun restrictions in Oklahoma and a bill contradicting a federal ban on guns in schools.[3] In 2014, Dahm introduced the "Piers Morgan Constitutional Right to Keep and Bear Arms Without Infringement Act" which would allow firearms to be openly carried without a permit[4]. Talk show host Morgan invited him onto Piers Morgan Live to debate the legislation.[5]
Dahm also sponsored legislation in the Senate to penalize the enforcement of the Affordable Care Act in Oklahoma.[6]
