Nat Thewphaingam (Thai: ณัฏฐ์ ทิวไผ่งาม, RTGS: Nat Thio-phai-ngam; (1989-06-05)June 5, 1989), nicknamed Natthew (Thai: นัททิว, Korean: 나튜) is a Thai singer, actor, model, presenter and the winner of the 5th season of reality talent show True Visions's Academy Fantasia in Thailand.

  • He is the winner of Thailand's the Academy Fantasia Show season 5 in 2008. He is now an artist in part of True Fantasia Group and BBTV Channel 7.
  • As his idol is Nichkhun from 2PM, so he think it'd be great if he can work at international level especially in South Korea and shown Thai people are talent and nice like Nichkhun. Latest, CJ Entertainment which is a subsidiary of CJ Group in South Korea requested Natthew as a singer and an artist in the company under the joint Korean-Thai ‘New Natthew Project’.[1]

Debut in Korea

Natthew, the winner of Thailand’s Academy Fantasia, an audition program similar to Mnet’s Superstar K, will be coming to Korea as part of the Korean-Thai joint project, ‘New Natthew Project.’ Through the joint venture by CJ E&M and Thailand’s CP Group, the singer will be assisted by a full staff to not only make his Korean debut but with the aim for Natthew to go on to become a global star.In Korea, Natthew will undergo a rigorous K-Pop style training regiment to take his image beyond a ballad singer to a global star.

Natthew said about his new ventures, "I′m aiming to be recognized by Korean fans as an artist instead of remaining a foreign singer who has thought to visit Korea. I hope to become an artist that helps the exchange of culture between Thailand and Korea."

Natthew's fanclub name is UNIVERSE, creating by himself. The meaning of UNIVERSE compared to all his fans like the stars that are always in the sky and do not disappear even in day time. When Natthew faces the extremely difficult, he can look up to the stars (fans) to make him feel good and give him an encouragement all the time.

New Natthew Project

Through the ′New Natthew Project′, Natthew will be undergoing a transformation from his original ballad self for Korea. His first single She′s Bad is a stylish and powerful electronic piece.

Natthew's first Korean MV single She's Bad and debut stage on M! Countdown premiered on 15 November 2012. This song was composed by C-Luv who composed like Rain’s Love Song and Natthew also features Yong Jun Hyung of B2ST and Seo-Ah from Brave Girls to be his main actress in this MV while Natthew’s logo was designed by the Jae Kyung from Rainbow as well.[4]

He also performed in Mnet Asian Music Awards (commonly abbreviated as a MAMA) at Hong Kong on 30 November 2012.

In April,2013, Natthew released 오 제발 (Oh Please) [5] for OST.Nine: Time Travelling Nine Times Part 3. Nine: Time Travelling Nine Times (나인: 아홉 번의 시간 여행) is a Korean drama that broadcast in tvN network between 2013-Mar-11 to 2013-May-14. This fantasy melodrama is about an anchorman at a TV broadcasting station, Park Sun Woo (Lee Jin Wook) who is in love with new reporter Joo Min Young (Jo Yoon Hee) and is given 9 chances to travel back in time to solve a crime that happened 20 years ago.[6]

Korean series

Natthew, who previously released a Korean single, She′s Bad, with B2ST′s Yong Jun Hyung, in 2012, is currently active in Thailand as a singer and actor, and has joined the cast of Monstar (TV series) for the fourth, seventh, and eighth episode as the 21-year-old Nawin Thammarat. Described as musically and athletically talented, Natthew′s character ends up meeting Kang Ha Neul′s character while busking on the streets of Hongdae. While Nawin Thammarat does not attend Bukchon High School with the rest of the characters, his path quickly intertwines with the other Monstar members, as Nawin slowly reveals his reason for coming to Seoul.[7]

Monstar is Mnet and tvN′s hit music drama. It depicts the lives of ordinary teens who are injured psychologically and heal themselves through the power of music. Yoon Sul-Chan (Yong Joon-Hyung) is the vocalist for the group "Man in Black". He carries deep wounds within his mind, but doesn't express his feelings. Because of his hot temper, he causes trouble. His management company then orders him to carry himself as an ideal student. He joins a music band at school, while facing unexpected events.

Career

Singer

His successful debut single is Roo Mai (รู้ไหม) was released in 2008. In 2009 he joined 123SOUL brand and produced 2 other singles Sak Khrang (สักครั้ง) Kha-yap (ขยับ). In 2010 performing as a solo artist again in The Winner Project that he released 2 singles are Muea Chan Dai Bok Rak Thoe Pai Laeo (เมื่อฉันได้บอกรักเธอไปแล้ว) and Phro Thoe (เพราะเธอ). After that he released the Thai version of the OST. AS EVER/STILL from “YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL” the Korean series.

April, 2011 his first solo album

Nathhew The Passion is currently available with 5 new songs here they are 'TOR HAI THER JA LUEM' (ต่อให้เธอจะลืม), 'Noy Gwa Rak Mak Gwa Chob' (น้อยกว่ารักมากกว่าชอบ), 'Change', 'Sa thern jai' (สะเทือนใจ) and, 'Love Happens' along with 3 previous works. The single of year 2011 is 'Kon Samkan' (คนสำคัญ).

After Natthew came back to Thailand, he released single Ying Fang Ying Jeb (ยิ่งฟังยิ่งเจ็บ) or 'Oh Please' in Thai version and Natthew invited Davika Horne who is a famous actress for play with him in Music Video. Latest in November, 2013, Natthew released a cover single No Regret To Love You (ไม่เสียใจที่ได้รักเธอ) for special occasion to thank you his fans or Universe that always support him since he joined the reality show in 2008 and he used clip video from 'Natthew Fan Meeting in BKK 2013' to present his grateful.

Actor

Whilst working in MUSIC FILE he was also involved in his first ever TV production, he appeared in midday program ‘Wai Puan Kuan La Fun’ (วัยป่วนก๊วนล่าฝัน). Early of 2011 both of his Thai series ‘Nuea Ma Nut’ (เหนือมนุษย์) and ‘Sane Bangkok’ (เสน่ห์บางกอก) have already broadcast. The series ‘Thida-Wanon 3’ (ธิดาวานร 3) is the fourth series of him and the latest series is 'Sue-Saming' (เสือสมิง) which his character names 'Pha-U/Shwe-Bo' (พะอู/ชะเวโบ) and it was on-air in December, 2012.

Natthew has an opportunity to play in the musical production Fame (musical) in Thai version [8] as Schlomo Metzenbaum, In 2012, Natthew also play in the role of cheerful playboy naming 'Pravich Rajpallop' (ประวิช ราชพัลลภ) in Prissana the Musical.[9]

Others

Natthew had worked in different areas of the show business for example; concerts, brand ambassador and model. His most honorable piece of work to date was a role in the royal musical “OUR LAND” DIRECTED BY YUTHANA MUKDASANIT.[10] The purpose of this film was to celebrate the 83rd anniversary of HM the King’s birthday.

Natthew also represented Thailand in a celebration for the 8th anniversary of KBS World taking part in the Let’s Go Dream Team with Asian Stars against Korean Stars.[11] In 2012, KBS of South Korea chose Natthew to join in the Let's Go Dream Team with Asian Stars against Korean Stars Season 2 again.
