Naresh Kanodia is a veteran actor in Gujarati cinema.[1] He is the brother of Mahesh Kanodia, another well known Gujarati musician and singer and was an Member of Parliament from Patan in Gujarat. The career of Naresh Kanodia spans across four decades and he has worked with many leading actresses including Snehlata, Aruna Irani, Roma Manek. He started his career with the film Veli ne avya phool.

Some of his famous movies are Jog Sanjog, Kanku Ni Kimat, Laju Lakhan, Uchi Medi na Ucha Mol, Raj Rajvan, Man saiba ni Medie, Dhola Maru, Meru Malan, Maa Baap Ne Bhulsho Nahi, Rajveer. His other films are Bhathiji Maharaj, Vanjari Vav, Tana Riri, Jugal Jodi, Raj Ratna, Keshar Chandan, and Pankhida O Pankhida. He had acted in 63 Gujarati films. His son Hitu Kanodia is also Gujarati actor. Naresh Kanodia, along with Upendra Trivedi, Asrani, Kiran Kumar represent the older generation of Gujarati cinema who went on to give many successful movies in 1980s and 1990s.
