Nansio[1] is a small town and ward on the island of Ukerewe, Lake Victoria, in Tanzania. It is a port of entry for passenger and freight shipping services from Mwanza. The ward of Nansio, one of twenty-four in the district of Ukerewe, had a population of 5967 at the census of August 1, 2002.[2]
