Nanette Medved is a fashion, ramp, commercial and print ad model, TV host, actress and philanthropist in the Philippines.

Career

Some of the movies done by Medved when she was still active in show business were: Dito Sa Pitong Gatang, Isang Bala Ka Lang, Iukit Mo Sa Bala, Sa Diyos Lang Ako Susuko, Tumbasan Mo Ng Buhay, Kung May Gusot Walang Lusot, Huwag Mong Salingin Ang Sugat Ko, Hiram Na Mukha, Narito Ang Puso Ko, Sa Kabila ng Lahat, and she played as Darna under Viva Films, directed by Joel Lamangan. She was the leading lady of Fernando Poe, Jr. in Ang Dalubhasa (2000).

Personal life

Medved was born in Hawaii, USA, in 1971, but grew up in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines born to a Russian father and Chinese mother. She graduated with degrees in Finance and Entrepreneurship as summa cum laude at Babson College in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Medved and Chinese businessman Chris Po got married on June, 1999 in South Africa. They have two children.

Now Medved has been active in socio-civic work. She is on the Advisory Board of Bantay Bata as well as the National Advisory Council of World Wildlife Fund Philippines. In 2012 she founded the Friends of Hope, Inc. Friends of Hope are makers of bottled water "Hope in a Bottle" - a brand that devotes 100% of their profits to building of public school classrooms in the Philippines.
