Nakuul Mehta (born 17 January 1983 in Udaipur, Rajasthan) is an Indian actor and model, best known for his lead role as Aditya in the television series Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara.[2] He currently lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Personal life

Mehta was born on 17 January 1985 in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. He descends from King Prithviraj Chauhan of Rajput Chauhan dynasty of Mewar.[3] His father, Pratap Singh Mehta, is a veteran of Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, while Mehta's great great grandfather Laxmilal Mehta was the military-in-chief of the Mewar region.[4]

Mehta is a practising Buddhist.[5] He married Jankee Parekh, a singer, in January 2012.

Biography

Mehta holds a Master's degree in Commerce from the Mumbai University then he started Modeling. He was also seen in several commercials and music videos. After juggling with his modelling career, he made his debut in Bollywood with Haal-e-dil. He can even shake leg in different dance forms like Jazz, Hip hop, break, folk, salsa and contemporary. Currently, he is acting in the STAR Plus TV series, Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara.

Mehta, after completing his Master's degree in Commerce from the Mumbai University, started his career with modeling. His tryst with showbiz happened in college days itself when he was spotted by director Satish Kaushik and cast in a soft-drink advertisement. He was seen with Shah Rukh Khan in the Clinic All Clear ad.

He was quite active in Theater too. Thereafter, there was no looking back for Nakuul, who went on to do fifty commercials before Bollywood producer Kumar Mangat spotted him and called him for an audition of a film exclusively designed to launch his daughter Amita Pathak. He is quite good in several different dance forms like Jazz, Hip hop, break, folk, salsa and contemporary and won two medals at the national ballroom dancing championship. He was last seen in International film Avant Garde Pythagoras Sharma which showcased at European and American film festivals.
