NS Yoon-G (English name: Christine Kim; Korean name: Kim Yoonji; Hangul: 김윤지; born September 6, 1988), sometimes stylized as NS Yoonji, is a K-pop singer who debuted in 2009 with the digital single "Meori Apa" under JTM Entertainment.[1][2] The NS in her name stands for "New Spirit", and Yoon-G uses her Korean name as her stage name as she found "Christine" was bit too hard to pronounce for Korean people.[3]

Biography

Yoon-G moved to San Fernando Valley, California in 4th grade, and studied at UCLA, graduating with a Bachelor's in Communication. Yoon-G is cousins with Kara's Kang Jiyoung, and has a younger brother.[4] She moved back to South Korea to pursue her dream of becoming a singer, joining DSP Media as a trainee, before debuting with JTM Entertainment with single "Meori Apa".

On November 1, 2012, Yoon-G released a digital single, "If You Love Me", featuring Jay Park, and released an official music video as well as a behind-the-scenes version, showing Yoon-G and Jay Park in the studio together. Yoon-G performed her single on Korean music shows such as KBS' Music Bank, Mnet's M! Countdown, MBC's Music Core and SBS' Inkigayo, alongside Jay Park, who is occasionally replaced by Dalmatian's Simon.

Also in November 2012, Yoon-G became the host of the new show, K-pop Tasty Road with U-KISS's Eli Kim, combining the Korean wave and food into one show.[5][6]

In January 2013, Yoon-G performed in Ho Chi Minh City alongside Adam Lambert and Aurea.[7]
