NIS Naftagas building

NIS building is a headquarters of Naftna Industrija Srbije (Нафтна Индустрија Србије) (Petroleum Industry Of Serbia). It is located in Novi Sad, the second largest city of Serbia.

The building construction started in the beginning of the 1990s and it is finished in 1998. It is one of the landmarks and one of the most popular buildings in Novi Sad. It is located in city quarter known as Liman III, across the Liman Park (Limanski park), on Narodnog Fronta Street and Bulevar oslobođenja.

Building is often referred to as Karingtonka (the Carrington building), because of what some consider to be the unnecessary opulent design and wealth put in its construction.^{[citation needed]}
