NGC 2060 was a supernova that occurred in Large Magellanic Cloud and is part of Tarantula Nebula, and the name NGC 2060 is also used for the associated star cluster.[1][2] It was discovered by John Herschel in 1836. In 1998, a pulsar (named PSR J0537-6910) was discovered in it with the rotation period 18 ms. The supernova remnant is formed by a supernova about 5,000 years ago.
