Muthur Tamil: முத்தூர் is a panchayat town in Kangeyam taluk in Tirupur district, Tamil Nadu, India.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Muthur had a population of 10,063. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Muthur has an average literacy rate of 59%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 70%, and female literacy is 48%. In Muthur, 9% of the population is under 6 years of age.
