Mustafabad is a census town in Yamuna Nagar District in the Indian state of Haryana.

Geography

Mustafabad is 18 km from Jagadhri and 23 km from Yamunanagar. It also carries the name Saraswati Nagar, though the name is not very popular and so is not used often. This name arises from the presence of river saraswati. There is also an old Shiv temple situated near this river.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Mustafabad had a population of 8513. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Mustafabad has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 68%. In Mustafabad, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Every year Guru Ravidass Jayanti is celebrated in the City with a great happiness and huge shobha Yatra(Nagar Kiratan) is also performed.A famous old Saraswati temple between River situated at Mustafabad. Many Pilgrims completed their Blessing by bath in the river.Dusshera Fair of mustafabad top famous in Yamunanagar District.
