Mustafa Âlî

Gelibolulu Mustafa Âlî bin Ahmed bin Abdülmevlâ Çelebi (born 1541 Gallipoli; died 1600 in Jeddah) was an Ottoman historian and bureaucrat of Croatian ancestry.[1] He wrote the earliest known biography of Ahmed Bican. He also wrote poetry and essays on religious and other subjects. Prof. Cornell Fleischer's biography of Mustafa Âlî in one of the most famous works in contemporary Ottoman studies.
