Murtosa (Portuguese pronunciation: [muɾˈtɔzɐ] ( )) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 73.3 km² and a total population of 9,550 inhabitants, and 8,282 electors.

The municipality is composed of 4 parishes, and is located in the District of Aveiro.

The present Mayor is Joaquim Manuel Baptista, elected by the Social Democratic Party.

The municipal holiday is September 8.
