Muromi-san (波打際のむろみさん Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san, lit."Muromi-san on the shore") is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Keiji Najima. It was adapted into an anime television series.[1][2]
Plot
Takurō Mukōjima is an angler boy. He lands a ningyo (Japanese mermaid) Muromi-san and has a chat with her and her strange friends. The entire title given to the series is in English "Muromi-San and the Legendary Beasts". Muromi is developmentally about 16 years old, but is actually a very old legendary creature, her sisters and she are guardians of the Earth. 'Takkun', as Muromi calls him, is a high school student who doesn't have a lot of motivation or care for all the attention Muromi wants to give him. But he still winds up getting involved in Muromi's adventures. There are a number of legendary monsters 'Takkun' meets and almost gets eaten by.
