Murilo Endres (known simply as Murilo; born 3 May 1981) is a Brazilian volleyball player.

Career

With Brazil national team he won five World Leagues (2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010), one World Cup (2007) and two World Championships (2006, 2010). He is the MVP of 2010 WCH and 2010 WL. He competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics and at the 2012 Summer Olympics, winning the silver medal both times.[1][2] He was also the MVP of the 2012 Summer Olympics.[3]

He played as wing spiker for Sesi São Paulo for the 2010/2011 season, in Brazil. He is the younger brother of Gustavo Endres, who also played in Brazilian Superliga.

Murilo won the silver medal and the "Best Receiver" award at the 2011 FIVB World League.[4]

Murilo is married to Jaqueline Carvalho, also a player in the Brazilian national women's volleyball team and twice a gold medalist at the Olympics (2008 and 2012).

Personal life

On October 22, 2009, he married his longtime girlfriend Jaqueline Carvalho who is also a Brazilian volleyball player.[5] In the spring of 2011 Jaqueline had a miscarriage.[6]
