The Muna–Buton languages are a group of languages spoken on the islands of Muna and Buton off the coast of South East Sulawesi province, Indonesia.
Languages
Per Ethnologue 16/17:
- Nuclear Muna–Buton
- Tukangbesi–Bonerate: Tukang Besi (Popalia), Bonerate
Busoa and Kaimbulawa are not specifically classified.
Another possible Buton language is Hukumina, which was spoken on Buru Island but may have been the remnant of an old migration from Buton.
