"Mucky Fingers" is a song on the British rock band Oasis' sixth album, Don't Believe the Truth, written and sung by lead guitarist Noel Gallagher. The song has been noted by some to bear a striking similarity to The Velvet Underground song "I'm Waiting for the Man", which is featured on their 1967 debut album, The Velvet Underground and Nico. Terry Kirkbride plays drums on this song. The song also shares some resemblance to the Bruce Springsteen song "Badlands".
Noel has commented on the song: "The result of one too many nights in the dressing room, brainwashing Gem with The Velvet Underground then thinking "Fuck it! Dylan rules!"[1]
The song was played by Oasis live on the Don't Believe the Truth Tour. Noel Gallagher later added the song to the setlist of the High Flying Birds Tour
