Mubariz Mansimov (Azerbaijani: Mübariz Mənsimov, born March 22, 1968) is an Azerbaijani entrepreneur and the founder of Palmali Group of Companies, a major shipping company, as well of the Azerbaijani football club Khazar Lankaran.[1] He is currently listed on Forbes list of billionaires, the youngest billionaire in Turkey as of March 1, 2009.[2][3] Also he has a milk company named PALSUD.

Early life

Mansimov was born in Masalli, Azerbaijan in 1968, to a working-class family. He graduated from the Naval Academy in Baku.[1] He was also a former soldier and he still ownes some antique weapons consisting of more than 600 pieces, some of which are displayed in the waiting area of his offices in Istanbul.

Business career

Mubariz Mansimov's current own wealth as a person is 1.2 Billion in 2013 by forbes without including his company.Overall with Mansimov's company (Palmali) forbes ranks Palmali as one of the worlds top 5 shipping companies. One of the latest interviews of Mansimov's he has told that his overall wealth including Palmali can reach somewhere between 8 to 11 billion euros.

Current assets

Mansimov's Palmali Group of Companies comprises television channel "Palhaber" and radio "PAL FM".

He has also owns the nationally successful football club Khazar Lankaran, which has made an important contribution to the local region.[1][4]
