Moskovia Airlines is an airline based in Zhukovsky, Moscow, Russia. It operates domestic and international passenger and cargo charters. It main base is Moscow Zhukovsky Airport.[1]
History
The airline was established and started operations in 1995 as Gromov Air. It was founded as the wholly owned commercial subsidiary of the Gromov Flight Research Institute.[1] In 2006 the airline was rebranded to Moskovia Airlines.
In November 2009, Moskovia Airlines received its first Boeing 737-800, an ex-SAS aircraft.[2]

The airline also used to operate three Boeing 737-800, but they were returned to lessors in March, 2011.[11]
Incidents and accidents
- On 26 May 2008, a Moscovia Airlines An-12 cargo aircraft crashed near Chelyabinsk, Russia, killing all nine crew members.
