Moskalensky District (Russian: Москале́нский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the thirty-two in Omsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,500 square kilometers (970 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Moskalenki.[1] Population: 28,968 (2010 Census);[3] 32,053 (2002 Census);[6] 33,611 (1989 Census).[7] The population of Moskalenki accounts for 32.1% of the district's total population.[3]
