Mosgiel FM

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mosgiel FM started in 1994 as a local radio station for the Mosgiel and Taieri Plains area, just south of Dunedin, New Zealand. Breakfast shows were broadcast from studios behind the post office in Gordon Road, in central Mosgiel. Outside broadcasting hours Dunedin's 4XO was relayed. Mosgiel FM broadcast on 95.4 FM from a transmitter on the Chain Hills, and the signal reached from Lookout Point in the north to Milton in the south. The station was closed down in approximately 1997 when it proved financially unviable. It was owned by Radio Otago which also operated other radio stations in the area during this period including 4XO, 93Rox and Radio Dunedin. Today Dunedin's More FM is relayed on 95.4 FM to provide a clear signal for Mosgiel listeners.
