Moses Adekoyejo Majekodunmi C.F.R, C.M.G. (Yoruba: Adékóyèjọ Májẹ̀kódùnmí; 17 August – 11 April 2012^[1]^[2]) was Minister of Health in the Nigerian First Republic. He was appointed sole administrator of Western Region in June 1962 after a political crisis in the region, holding office in place of the Premier Samuel Akintola until December that year.^[3]

The crisis was due to a struggle between Akintola and the former Western Region Premier and current leader of the opposition Obafemi Awolowo, which had led to violent scenes in the House of Assembly. On advice from the police, one of his first acts was to sign restriction orders to detain leaders of both factions.^[3] After the situation had stabilized, Akintola resumed office on 1 January 1963.^[4]

As an Oloye of the Yoruba people, he held the titles of the Mayegun of Lagos and the Otun Balogun of the Christians of Egbaland.

He also founded Saint Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, which opened in March 1968.^[5]

Nigerian region governors and premiers in the First Republic

This is a list of Nigerian region governors and premiers in the First Republic (1960 - 1966). Nigeria became independent on 1 October 1960 and became a republic on 1 October 1963. On 16 January 1966 a military coup brought Major General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi to power, terminating the first period of democratic rule. During this period an appointed governor was nominal head of state while an elected premier led the government.
