Moravice, Croatia

Moravice (formerly Komorske Moravice until 1919, then Srpske Moravice until 1991[1][2])) is a settlement in north-western Croatia, situated at the far east of the mountainous region of Gorski kotar in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. It is part of the Vrbovsko municipality. The population is 664 (census 2011).,[3] it was 797 (census 2001).[4]

It is known as the birthplace of Slavko Kvaternik, a senior collaborator with Nazi Germany during the Second World War, and of Croatian actor Pero Kvrgić.
