Moraro (Slovene: Morar) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Gorizia in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 40 km northwest of Trieste and about 9 km west of Gorizia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 712 and an area of 3.5 km².[1]
Moraro borders the following municipalities: Capriva del Friuli, Cormons, Farra d'Isonzo, Gradisca d'Isonzo, Mariano del Friuli, San Lorenzo Isontino.
