Moraea is a genus of plants in the family Iridaceae. The genus name is a tribute to the English botanist Robert Moore.[2]

Moraeas have iris-like flowers.[3] The corms of some species have been used as food, though they usually are small, and some species are unpleasant and some actually poisonous.[4][5]
