Monterado is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ancona in the Italian region Marche, located about 35 km west of Ancona. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,803 and an area of 10.3 km².[1]
The municipality of Monterado contains the frazione (subdivision) Ponterio.
Monterado borders the following municipalities: Castel Colonna, Corinaldo, Mondolfo, Monte Porzio, and San Costanzo.
