Monte San Pietro is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bologna in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 12 km southwest of Bologna. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 10,758 and an area of 74.7 km².[1]
Monte San Pietro borders the following municipalities: Castello di Serravalle, Crespellano, Marzabotto, Monteveglio, Sasso Marconi, Savigno, Zola Predosa.
