Monte Burney is an ice-capped stratovolcano located 200 km northwest of the city of Punta Arenas and south of the Cordillera Sarmiento, on the Peninsula Muñoz Gamero, in the Chilean Patagonia.

The mountain was named Mount Burney in honor of James Burney.[3]
