Monkey vs. Shark is a studio EP from Thee More Shallows It was released on Monotreme Records in 2006.
It features two original unreleased tracks, followed by a cover of The Temptations' "I Can't Get Next to You" (in stark contrast with the original version) and a remix of "Freshman Thesis" from the band's 2004 album More Deep Cuts. The remix was mastered by Odd Nosdam and Why?, who are both part of the indie hip hop collective Anticon. Thee More Shallows would go on to release their next studio album, Book of Bad Breaks, on Anticon in 2007.
