Monkey Swinger (originally Billy's Whizzer) is a wave swinger ride opened in 2000 at Chessington World of Adventures Resort. It allows single riders over the height of 4 feet, 11 inches to be swung in a circle. As of October 2013, the ride continues to operate in the Wild Asia area.[1]
History
Opened in 2000, Monkey Swinger was originally named Billy's Whizzer until it was rethemed when the Beanoland area became Wild Asia in 2010.[2]
Description
Themed with monkey motiffs, the ride rotates at a tilted angle, swinging the individual riders up and down, then around in a full circle. A water jet can soak riders sitting on the outer seats.[2]
The minimum height is 1.20 metres, with the maximum torso measurement at less than 51 inches.[1]
