Molloy College is an independent, private, liberal arts institution located in Rockville Centre on Long Island, New York. The college was founded by the Sisters of St. Dominic of Amityville, the Congregation of the Holy Cross in 1955. It opened its first residence hall in 2011. The college also has a 550-seat performing arts facility—The Madison Theatre.

Graduate students can study in the areas of business, education, nursing (includes a doctoral program), music therapy, speech-language pathology or social work. The social work graduate program is a joint venture with Fordham University. Molloy also offers a selection of continuing education courses each semester. It has also a lot of sports and clubs.

Its athletic teams compete as the Molloy Lions. Sports include baseball, basketball, cross country, lacrosse, and soccer for men; basketball, cross country, dance team, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball for women, as well as an equestrian team for both men and women. In 2010, the Molloy College outdoor track team was established.

In addition to athletics, there are a number of clubs and organizations for Molloy College students. Including both Women's and Mens Rugby clubs.

Athletics

Molloy College teams participate as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division II. The Lions are a member of the East Coast Conference (ECC). Men's sports include baseball, basketball, cross country, indoor and outdoor track & field, lacrosse and soccer; while women's sports include basketball, cross country, indoor and outdoor track & field, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball.
