Mohtasham Kaashaani

Mohtasham Kaashaani (Kamāl-al-Din Mohtasham Kāšāni, Persian: محتشم کاشانی, also known as Šams-al-šoʿarā) (1528–1588) was a Persian poet of Safavid’s period. He is mainly known by his elegy on martyrdom of Imam Hossein and his family. His main job, like his father, was cloth industry (in Kashan) before he chose poetry as the main field.[1]
