Alfa Moderus is a tram developed by retrofitting Konstal 105Na manufactured by Modertrans Poznan.

The history and description

Alpha Moderus drive motors are using alternating current (traditional-rozrusznikowy or chopperowy) 220 LTA-type DC power 41 kW, or AC SDTa 220 L4-1 to 50 kW.

So far several versions of the tram were created. HF04 AC is a bus made for MPK Poznan boot system with impulse and alternating current motors,

HF05 is a vehicle for a modernized Tram Slaskie. Trams of the latter type were the first equipped with new front and end walls, while the other part of the modernization depends on the contract counterparty. On offer is also a model HF06 AC DK which is a bidirectional version of the model HF04 AC.

Full name of the sample model Alpha 105N HF04AC consists of symbols denoting: HF - high floor, 04 - the fourth generation, AC - alternating current. This means that the Alpha has a high Moderus floor and AC motors. Number 04 means that it is fourth modernization of the model Konstal 105N conducted by Modertrans.

Company Modertrans also uses the designation "Alpha Moderus" for its own modernization of trams Konstal 105N:

  • HF01 - renovation of the interior. Intended for MPK Poznan, used under the designation Konstal 105N
  • HF02 - bidirectional composition (based on train Konstal 105Na+105NaD) for MPK Poznan, in use as a Konstal 105NaDK
  • HF03L - 105N car designed for driving school in MPK Poznan, operated as Konstal 105N.
