Mitch Garbutt (born 18 April 1989) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer for the Melbourne Storm of the National Rugby League. He primarily plays prop and second-row.

Playing career

Born in Newcastle, New South Wales, Garbutt played his junior football for the Western Suburbs Rosellas of the Newcastle Rugby League before being signed by the Newcastle Knights. He played for the Knights' NYC team in 2008 and 2009.[2]

In 2010, Garbutt returned to the Rosellas in the Newcastle Rugby League.

At the end of 2011, after impressing in the 2011 Newcastle Rugby League Grand Final between the Western Suburbs Rosellas and Maitland Pickers, Garbutt signed a 1-year contract with the Melbourne Storm starting in 2012 with an option for 2013.[3]

In Round 14 of the 2013 NRL season Garbutt made his NRL debut for the Storm against his former club, the Newcastle Knights.[4]
