Misha Ge (born 17 May 1991) is an Uzbekistani figure skater. He is the 2011 Ice Challenge silver medalist and a two-time Uzbekistani national champion.

Career

Having first stepped onto the ice at age three and a half, Misha Ge began training seriously at ten after moving to China.[1] From 2009, he trained in the United States. He started representing Uzbekistan in 2010.

Ge finished 6th at the 2011 Asian Winter Games and 12th at the 2011 Four Continents. He trained in Lake Arrowhead, California with Frank Carroll as his jump coach.

In 2011–12, Ge won silver medals at the Asian Trophy, Ice Challenge, and Istanbul Cup. He was 9th at the 2012 Four Continents.

In 2013, Beijing became Ge's main training base.[2] The 2013-14 season saw him receive his first Grand Prix assignment, the 2013 Rostelecom Cup.

Personal life

Misha Ge was born in Moscow, Russia.[3] When he was about 10, his family moved to Beijing, China, where his parents coached for a time.[4] He also spent time in Hong Kong and Taiwan.[5] In mid-2009, he moved to the United States.[6] He returned to Beijing in 2013.[2]

Ge is of Russian, Chinese, and Korean descent.[4] His connection to Uzbekistan comes from his mother who has relatives living there.[4] He can speak Russian, Chinese, and English.[4]
