"Mirotic" (Korean title: 주문 Jumun; Japanese title: 呪文 Jumon; Magic Spell) is a song performed by TVXQ, released in South Korea as a digital single in September 2008 as the lead single from the group's album Mirotic, and was later re-released in Japanese as the group's 24th single in Japan, released on October 15, 2008.

The single became the group's fifth single to reach the number one position on the Oricon Daily charts. It also became the group's fourth Japanese single to reach number one on Oricon Weekly chart, breaking their previous record. In Asia it has been downloaded more than 4 Million times which makes it one of the biggest Asian singles of all times.

Music video

Background and concept

The video was filmed on September 2, 2008 in Seoul, South Korea and the Korean version premiered September 21, 2008. There is also a dance version and solo versions of the members. The Japanese version premiered September 27, 2008. There has been alternate versions of the Korean version film making.

Synopsis

The music video features all the members walking when they are pulled by a witch. They are then shown in different scenarios, whereas:

Max Changmin is in water.

Hero Jaejoong is tied with rope handcuffs on a wall.

Xiah Junsu is trapped in lasers.

U-Know Yunho is bound by ribbons around his wrists.

Micky Yoochun is encased in glass.

There is also a dance scene. In the end of the video the members break and escape their bindings and chase the witch who lost her power. The witch in turn attempts to escape and melts away as they slowly approach her. The eyes of the members start glowing green at the end of the music video.
