Mirapinna esau, the Hairyfish, is a species of flabby whalefish only known from the Atlantic Ocean from near the Azores. This species grows to a length of 5.5 centimetres (2.2 in) TL. Formerly considered a member of the no longer recognized family Mirapinnidae, this species is the only known member of its genus.
