Mirakkel is an Indian Reality Show on Zee Bangla hosted by Mir Afsar Ali and directed by Subhankar Chattopadhyay. Produced by Zee Bangla and hosted by the popular radio jockey and television host Mir (except Mirakkel AC-4 (Kids' Special) which was hosted by Mridul Bhattachariya), Mirakkel is one of its kind reality show. The show aired on Zee Bangla, offers a platform for stand-up comedians across Bengal to showcase their talent. The show is judged by television actors Paran Bandyopadhyay, Sreelekha Mitra and Rajatava Dutta. The band Bandage, which include Dwaipayan Saha, Nitin Mani, Suman Sinha, Subhajit Sarkar, Koushik, Saurav Bhattacharya, was on the musical side. With five years on, Mirakkel has been one of the longest running reality show on Zee Bangla. The Latest Season, Mirakkel Akkel Challenger 6 started from 11 July 2011 and ended on 15 July 2012.

The show,when first telecast in 2006, became an instant hit amongst the people of Bengal, specially the middle and old-aged masses. It was also very popular among the youth and many puns and wit from the show were very common amongst all sections of people. The show tasted good to average success in the first five seasons.

In 2011, the sixth season of Mirakkel went on air, from 11 July 2011. Upon air, the film broke several TRP records and enjoyed huge success throughout its initial run, and eventually became the most successful season of Mirakkel ever. Critics mainly lauded three things for Mirakkel's huge success, which was Mir's larger-than-life presence, satirical and political songs.

After Mirakkel Akkel Challenger 6 ended, the producers of the reality show decided to launch another sub-season of Mirakkel, to keep its audience still enjoying. The show was named Mirakkel Akkel Challenger Awesomesala, as the term became quite famous amongst the masses. Mirakkel Akkel Challenger Awesomesala ended on July 15, 2012, thus, celebrated one year of its original run. [1]

Mirakkel Akkel Challenger (2006)

Mirakkel Akkel Challenger season 1 was hosted by [Mir Afsar Ali]] & was a hit as soon as it was put on air by Zee Bangla. With the TV show Mirakkel on Zee Bangla, he came to be known as the comedy king of the city. It was his third major television show as an anchor after Hao Mao Khao, and Beta Betir Battle. Season 1 was won by Tapan Das & was awarded a prize money of Rs. 50 thousand.

Mirakkel Akkel Challenger 2

After the Akkel challenger 1 mirakkel becomes more popular.The champion of this season is Atanu Barman.

Mirakkel Akkel Challenger 3

After the huge success of season 2 Mirakkel continued its journey in season 3 too.This time Mirakkel's most consistent comedian Mridul Bhattachraya from Baligaunge,kolkata got recognized by the audiences of this popular reality show.Tollywood actress Indrani Haldar chaired as a judge for the very 1st time along with regular judges Paran Bandhapadhya & Rajatava Dutta. Mridul Bhattachraya was the winner of this season.

Mirakkel Bare Miya chhote Miya (2008)

Mirakkel returned after almost half year later with Bare Miya Chhote Miya.This time contestants were separated into two sections-The contestants from previous seasons were referred as Bore Miya where the rest as Chote Miya.Rajatabha Dutta continued his journey as judge along with Srelekha Mitra & Sidhu from bangla band Cactus.srelekha later replaced by another tolly actress Debolina Dutta.Mridul Bhattacharya was again the winner of this season beating season 2 champion Atanu Barman in the final.

Mirakkel Akkel Challenger 4 (2009)

This season only for the child performers and with a special show title "Mirakkel Akkel Challenger 4 Boro Comedi Choto Size-E", hosted by former back to back champion Mridul Bhattachariya. Tania from Burdwan become the champion of this season.

Mirakkel Akkkel Challenger 5 (2010)

In season 5, Pranjol from Bijaygarh was the champion and Tarjan boy Arnab got the second place.

Mirakkel Akkkel Challenger 6 (2011)

Season 6 kick started with 30 participants, on 11 July 2011, hosted by Mir Afsar Ali. Bangladeshi contestants participated first time in Mirakkel from this season and took away 1st,3rd and best by viewer places. This season featured the regular judges of Mirakkel along with the regular band BANDAGE. Also there are five new mentors for this season. This season is the longest of the any Mirakkel. Every week there is special celebrity honors as guest judge. The current constants are Phatik Purakait, Sangit Tiwary, Apurba Roy, Abu Hena Rony, Anwarul Alam Sajal, Istiak Nasir, Md. Jamil Hossain, Vicky and Partha.

Mirakkel Akkkel Challenger 6 Awesomesala (2012)

The new season "Mirakkel Akkkel Challenger 6 Awesomesala" started right after grand finale of season 6. Top comedians from previous season 6 has participated in this season along with some new comedians from west bengal as well as from Bangladesh. Bangladesh's largest food processing group, Pran Group, has joined as sponsor as well, which is first time in Mirakkel history to have foreign sponsor. Host and judges remain same as previous seasons. The Season ended, celebrating compensation of one year at 15 July 2012.

Mirakkel Akkel Challenger 7 (2013)

The new season started on 25 February 2013.There are 27 participants in this season.It's still hosted by Mir and the same judges.The last performance of each episode is always of a participant from season 6 and Awesomesala. Same like last season, Pran Group, largest food industry of Bangladesh is sponsoring the season.
