Minsk Governorate

The Minsk Governorate (Russian: Минская губерния) or Government of Minsk was a governorate (guberniya) of the Russian Empire. The seat was in Minsk. It was created in 1793 from the land acquired in the partitions of Poland, and lasted until 1921.

• Vileysky uezd (county), in 1795 (after the territory became part of Minsky uezd (county) and Vileysky uezd (county) of Vilenskaya province)
• David-Gorodoksky uezd (county), in 1795 (after the territory became part of Pinsk and Mozyr uezds (counties) )
• Dokshitsky uezd (county), in 1795 (after the territory became part of Borisov uezd (county) and Vileysky uezd (county) of Vilenskaya province)
• Nesvizhsky uezd (county), in 1795 (after the territory became part of Slutsky and Minsky uezds (counties) )
• Postavsky county, in 1795 (after the territory became part of Disnensky and Vileysky uezds (counties) of Vilenskaya province)
• Disnensky uezd (county), in 1795 (later in Vilenskaya province)

Vileyka and Disna uzeyds passed to Vilna Governorate in 1843. In 1919, Baranovichi uzeyd was created from Novogorodok one and Nesvizh uzeyd was created from Slutsk one. In 1920 Novogrudok, Pinsk, Baranovichi and Nesvizh uzeyds were left to Poland.
