Miles Long (born November 4, 1968) is an American pornographic movie director, actor, cinematographer, photographer and producer.[1] He entered the adult film industry in 1999. Between 1999 and 2005, he worked primarily as an actor. Starting in 2003 he moved behind the camera and began working as a director, assistant director, cinematographer, cameraman and still photographer working for Jill Kelly Productions and Ninn Worx. His later work for New Sensations, Third Degree Films and Zero Tolerance has garnered numerous accolades, 38 AVN Award nominations, 14 XBIZ Award nominations, including: a 2014 XBIZ Award nomination for Director of the Year - Non Feature Release,[2] a 2013 XBIZ Award nomination for Director of the Year - Non Feature Release,[2] a 2012 XBIZ Award nomination for Director of the Year - Body of Work,[3] a 2012 XBIZ Award nomination for Director of the Year - Individual Project,[3] 2011 XBIZ Award nomination for Director of the Year - Body of Work, a 2011 XBIZ Award nomination for Gonzo Release of the Year for Nylons 7, a 2011 Urban X Awards nomination for Director of the Year,[4] a 2011 Urban X Awards nomination for Best Gonzo Director,[4] and 7 awards: a 2011 Urban X Award for Best Couples Scene,[4] his 2012 induction into the Urban X Awards Hall of Fame.[5] a 2009 AVN Award for Best MILF Release for The Cougar Club,[1] a 2010 AVN award for Best All Sex Series for Addicted,[1] his 2011 induction into the AVN Hall of Fame,[6] a 2012 AVN award for Best Foot Fetish/Leg Release for Nylons 8[7] and his 2012 induction into the XRCO Hall of Fame.[8]

Film career

Long's first scene was for Northern Sights with his then-wife, Shay Sights.[9] He also worked with Jenna Haze in her first major adult film release in Joey Silvera's Service Animals 4.[10] Long moved behind the camera in 2003, starting as an assistant director for Jill Kelly Productions. He then began working as a cameraman and director of photography for Michael Ninn.[11] In 2005 became the head of production for X-Worx.[12] His first release Muff garnered an AVN Award nomination for Best All-Girl Series in 2006. In 2006 he began working as a director for New Sensations, where he received AVN Award nominations for Best Director and Best All Sex Film in 2007 for Addicted Again;[13] as well as nominations in 2008 for Best All Sex Release, Best High End All Sex Release and Best High Definition Release. Long branched out into mainstream TV in 2007 as the Director of Photography of the television series Untold Stripclub Confessions.[14] In 2008 he began to direct for Third Degree Films and Zero Tolerance Entertainment, where he would win his first AVN Award in 2009 for Best MILF Release for The Cougar Club in the inaugural year for that award category.[15] He won an additional AVN Award in 2010 for Best All-Sex Series for Addicted.[16] In 2011 he was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame,[6] received a 2011 Urban X Award for Best Couples Scene[4] and appeared in LIFE magazine.[17] In 2012 he won an additional AVN Award for Best Foot Fetish/Leg Release for Nylons 8 [7] participated in the first ever live broadcast for AVN.com for the Virtual AEE show along with Tanya Tate and Julia Ann and was inducted into both the Urban X Awards[5] Hall of Fame and XRCO Hall of Fame.[8] In 2013, he was nominated for "Favorite Director" at The Sex Awards, held at Avalon, October 9, 2013, in Hollywood, CA. [18] and was photographed and interviewed on the red carpet multiple times at the event. [19] [20] The inaugural event showcased consumer based based voting for the nominees. [21]

Photography career

Starting in 2008 he began to make a name for himself as a still photographer, with his photos and layouts appearing in MAXIM, AVN, Barely Legal, Club, Club International, Finally Legal, Fiesta, Fox, Gallery, Gent, Hawk, High Society, Hustler, Cheri, MILFs in Heat, Ravers and Spicy Latinas.[22] Also of note, in 2011 he trademarked his stage name and successfully litigated against a company that used his stage name to market a product without his permission.[23] Starting in 2012, he began appearing on Playboy and Sirius Radio regularly and had his photos appear on billboard ads for different Gentlemen's Clubs.[24] In January 2013, he shot a mainstream billboard ad campaign for the event he hosted along with Gracie Glam, Kendall Karson and Nikki Phoenix at TABU Ultra Lounge in the MGM Grand Las Vegas during the 2013 AVN Awards weekend.[25] In March 2013, he shot another mainstream billboard ad campaign for the event he hosted along with Nikki Phoenix and Alexis Monroe at TABU Ultra Lounge in the MGM Grand Las Vegas sponsored by Twala Intimates lingerie company[26] celebrating the appearance of Nikki Phoenix in the mainstream film 21 and Over.[27] He shot an additional billboard for the Los Angeles area nightclub EDEN[28] in February 2013 as well as numerous Billboards for Gentlemen's clubs in the Los Angeles area,[29] and his event and photos were covered by UK magazine Ravers in July 2013 moving him into the international photography market.[30]
