Milena Toscano Gonçalves, commonly known as Milena Toscano (born January 11, 1984), is a Brazilian actress and model.[1] She played the lead role in the telenovela Araguaia.

Career

Born in Santo André, São Paulo state,[1] Milena Toscano started her career as a model when she was ten years-old, after she was hired by the Ford Models Agency.[2] She made her first TV commercials when she was 13 years-old.[2] After graduating in different performing arts schools such as Studio Fátima Toledo, Casa de Artes de Laranjeiras and Escola Livre de Teatro, she signed a contract with Rede Globo, debuting in 2004 in the telenovela Começar de Novo, playing the character Sofia.[2] Milena Toscano played Martina in SBT's remake of the Mexican telenovela Los Ricos También Lloran, named Os Ricos também Choram, which aired from 2005 to 2006.[3] Her first lead role in a telenovela was in 2010, in the Rede Globo telenovela Araguaia, playing Manuela Martinez.[4] She played the character Vanessa in the 2011 telenovela Fina Estampa.[5]
