Mike Sacks is an American author, humor writer, and magazine editor based in New York City. Sacks was born in Virginia and raised in Maryland before attending Tulane University in New Orleans.

Career

Sacks has worked at The Washington Post, and is currently on the editorial staff of Vanity Fair magazine.[1][2] He has written articles for several magazines, including The New Yorker, McSweeney's, Esquire and Salon.[3] On writing, Sacks has said: "With the internet, anyone can write from anywhere.... You don’t have to go to New York if you want to write, you can just do it on your own and I encourage anyone who wants to do it to just go for it."[4]

In June of 2012, Sacks announced he was working on a second volume of his interviews with comedians, a sequel to "And Here's the Kicker." It is scheduled for release in 2014.[5]
