Mike Moyle [2] is an American politician and a Republican member of the Idaho House of Representatives since 1998 in the District 14 A seat.[1] Moyle has been the Majority Leader since December 7, 2006.

Education

Moyle graduated from Meridian High School and attended Brigham Young University.

Elections

  • 2012 Moyle was unopposed for both the May 15, 2012 Republican Primary, winning with 3,212 votes,[3] and the November 6, 2012 General election, winning with 18,045 votes.[4]
  • 1998 Moyle challenged incumbent Republican Representative Dave Bivens for the District 14 A seat in the May 26, 1998 Republican Primary, winning by 14 votes with 2,338 votes (50.2%) against Representative Bivens,[5] and was unopposed for the November 3, 1998 General election, winning with 16,067 votes.[6]
  • 2000 Moyle was unopposed for the May 23, 2000 Republican Primary, winning with 6,333 votes,[7] and won the three-way November 7, 2000 General election with 20,214 votes (69.4%) against Democratic nominee Janis Foote and Natural Law candidate Gilda Bothwell,[8] who had sought the B seat in 1996 and 1998.
  • 2002 Moyle won the May 28, 2002 Republican Primary with 3,094 votes (57.7%),[9] and won the November 5, 2002 General election with 9,674 votes (65.4%) against Democratic nominee Claude Shubert.[10]
  • 2004 Moyle was unopposed for both the May 25, 2004 Republican Primary, winning with 3,218 votes,[11] and the November 2, 2004 General election, winning with 19,842 votes.[12]
  • 2006 Moyle was unopposed for both the May 23, 2006 Republican Primary, winning with 4,723 votes,[13] and the November 7, 2006 General Election, winning with 16949 votes.[14]
  • 2008 Moyle won the May 27, 2008 Republican Primary with 4,191 votes (69.3%) against a write-in candidate,[15] and won the November 4, 2008 General Election with 21,405 votes (65.8%) against Democratic nominee Michelle Waddell.[16]
  • 2010 Moyle was unopposed for the May 25, 2010 Republican Primary, winning with 6,574 votes,[17] and won the November 2, 2010 General Election with 17,678 votes (72.6%) against Democratic nominee William Young.[18]
