Mike Johnson (born 1965) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer and bass guitarist. He was born in Grants Pass, Oregon and played in Eugene, Oregon punk band Snakepit from 1984-1989. [1] He replaced Lou Barlow in Dinosaur Jr in 1991 [1] [2] and played with the band live and on its recordings from 1991 to 1998.[3] He was briefly married to and then divorced from Leslie Hardy. [4] He collaborated with Mark Lanegan on his first five solo albums. He played guitar on and co-produced Lanegan's first three solo efforts.[5] He also was involved with the bands Queens of the Stone Age and Caustic Resin in the late 90s and early 2000s.
