Mikael Mandron (born 11 October 1994) is a French footballer who currently plays for Fleetwood Town, on loan from Sunderland. He usually plays as forward.

Club career

After playing for lower leagues in France, he joined Sunderland in 2011 as a 16 year old.[2] After injury to Steven Fletcher he was called into training with the first team.[3] In 30 March 2013 he was an unused substitute against Manchester United. On 29 April 2013 he made his professional debut against Aston Villa coming on as an 85th minute substitute and replacing Danny Graham in a 6–1 defeat.[4] When Mandron appeared as a substitute it was all most a dream debut for the teenager with him nearly scoring with an attempt that only just caught the hands of the goalkeeper. Mandron has featured on the first team bench a couple of times this season and has made one appearance so far, he has had a successful time with the under 18's and the under 21's which have resulted in him being fast tracked to the first team.

In May 2013 Mandron was called up to the Scotland U20 squad for the first time, he qualifies for Scotland through an Aberdeen born grandparent.

On 6 January 2014, Mandron signed for Fleetwood Town on loan until the end of the season.[5]
