Launched in late 2005 in Silicon Valley, mig33 is a social entertainment platform company. Now headquartered in Singapore, mig33 has a strong consumer presence in Nepal, Indonesia, India, South Asia, the Middle East and Africa. As of August 2013, mig33 has over 70 million registered users with 35 million users coming from Indonesia mainly from Central Java, Great Jakarta and East Java. It is secondly used widely in Nepal for business and messaging purpose with over 10.7 million users as on 2010A.D .It is used in 200 countries. The company also sells virtual goods and develops mobile social games.[4]

Growth

In early August 2013, mig33 introduced a new brand identity, unveiling its new logo and tagline. It also introduced a revamped microblogging platform.[5] The mig33 microblogging service enables its users to post and read updates of up to 300 characters.[6]

Mig33 has over 70 million registered users with 35 million users come from Indonesia mainly from Central Java, Great Jakarta and East Java. In a certain day, one million Indonesian users logged into mig33 with each unique user accessing the network 73 times a day.[7] India, Bangladesh, Nepal, South Africa, and Saudi Arabia also have significant numbers of users. mig33 is used in 200 countries.
